By some strange sequence of events I ended up on NBC4 last night talking about blogging. Watch and learn how you too can make tens of dollars putting your opinion online! Also, keep an eye out for my mysterious twin brother “David” Grier, milk steaming action at Murky Coffee, and a cameo appearance by Chad Wilcox as blogger number 2. Partial transcript available here.

[...] [Update 11/8/07: Jacob found the video.] [...]
Jacob Grier is a freelance writer, bartender, cocktail consultant, and magician in Portland, Oregon. He writes, eats, and drinks a lot. His articles have appeared in the print or online editions of The Washington Post, The Atlantic, The Los Angeles Times, Reason, The Oregonian, and other publications.
I can’t stop laughing at the whole “David” Grier thing. At first, when the name appeared on the screen, I thought it was just a brief mistake, but then the guy actually said it aloud. Too funny. Especially since this website, shown on the TV spot, is actually called “jacobgrier.com”.
You’ll have to let me know if this increases luck with the ladies.
That’s some nice work, David.
I’m curious why the reporter looked so much more handsome on the TV than him in real life. I think the rest of us just look fatter than we actually are in front of the camera.
Nicely done!
