<description>&lt;a href="http://www.bloglines.com"&gt;Bloglines&lt;/a&gt; is a web-based service that makes it easy to keep up with the blogs you read. Most blogs (with the exception of many Blogger users) publish a syndication feed for their new content. A feed reader like Bloglines checks these feeds for you, showing you which of your blogs have been updated and giving you a preview of new entries or full content.

This saves time by eliminating all the instances of checking a blog only to find that it hasn't been updated, freeing you up to read many more than you could otherwise. For instance, I currently subscribe to 93 different feeds and keep up with almost all of them.

Bloglines is free and, since it's based on the Web, can be used from any computer. By centralizing the service it also takes up a lot less of bloggers' bandwidth compared to feed readers that run on an individual's computer.

If you sign up, it's easy to subscribe to the blogs you like. Search for it on the Bloglines site, add it manually by copying the "syndicate this site" url or the "XML" button, or click on the "subscribe with bloglines" button on my sidebar.</description>
